When you create an account on Wantoo, we collect your name, email address, and city. If you sign up via Google, we receive basic profile information from Google including your name and email. We do not collect your password — authentication is handled securely.

When you post a need or send an offer, we collect the content of your posts including title, description, budget, and location (city/area only — never precise GPS coordinates).

We also collect usage data such as pages visited, time spent, and actions taken on the platform to improve our service.

Your information is used to operate and improve the Wantoo platform. Specifically:

• To show your needs to relevant sellers in your area • To send notifications about offers and messages • To verify your identity and prevent fraud • To improve our matching algorithm • To send product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)

We never use your data for advertising purposes or sell it to third parties.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Your phone number is never shown publicly on the platform. It is only shared with the other party when both sides agree to proceed with a deal.

Your exact address is never collected or shared. Only city and area names are used for matching.

We may share anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., "500 needs posted in Roorkee this month") for research or business purposes.

You have full control over your data:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you • Correction: Update or correct your personal information anytime from your profile • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings • Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format • Objection: Opt out of non-essential data processing

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS • Passwords are never stored in plain text • Authentication is handled by Supabase with enterprise-grade security • We perform regular security audits • Access to user data is strictly limited to essential team members

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours.

Wantoo uses minimal cookies — only what's necessary to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will log you out of the platform.
